BECOME A NAFA MEMBER

NAFA offers annual membership to full members and affiliate members. By purchasing a NAFA membership, you attest to your eligibility as outlined in the NAFA bylaws:

  •  Full members are those who are fellowships advisors in higher education or non-profit organizations. NAFA membership is limited to faculty and staff who are advising (or have advised) students on one or more grants, scholarships, or fellowships.
  • Affiliate members are those who are interested staff from non-profit fellowship organizations, foundations, or government agencies.

NOTE:  NAFA reserves the right to use fees and monies paid by persons to NAFA for membership registration, conference registration, or other activities or services in line with NAFA’s purpose as the organization sees fit.

Information for New Members

Members shall have access to all publications, may belong to the listserv, may participate in general membership meetings, and will receive an annual report on NAFA activities, which will include minutes from executive and general membership meetings, a detailed budget and budget narrative, dates of future meetings, and association announcements.

NAFA has approximately 700 institutional or individual members from academic institutions across the U.S.A., Canada and the United Kingdom. In addition, most of the major funding agencies and programs hold affiliate memberships and actively use the NAFA Listserv for information dissemination and advice on pertinent questions. These agencies and programs also play a significant role at the NAFA biennial conferences and, often, the summer workshops.

Membership in the National Association of Fellowships Advisors is open to any college or university.

Please add membership@nafadvisors.org to your address book to ensure prompt activation of your membership.
